Scope of Work

CMSML.ORG is an outgrowth of a collaboration between OSCOM, the University of Washington iSchool CMS Evaluation Lab, CMS Review, and Hartman Communicatie in the Netherlands.

Deliverables

The main deliverables will be:
  • regular updates of the CMSML as an XML Schema Definition (XSD);
  • a Request For Chance (RFC);
  • an Application Programming Interface (API) for using the XML;
  • a revision history.

These deliverables are presented as CM Pros Resources on the CMS Overview page.

Current Status

The current CMSML release is versie 1.10.
We worked hard on a next release of CMSML. The Dutch government recently adopted this new release. Their overview was scheduled for publication in September 2006, together with a press release.

Next Steps

  • a policy on the use and distribution of CMSML;
  • incorporate more editor criteria;
  • incorporate the facets of the CM Lifecycle Poster;
  • a web service for distributing the CMSML data.
